Ming Jin MD (China) Ph.D.
Dr. Ming Jin graduated from Shanghai University of Chinese Medicine in 1982 and continued her study in the university and obtained a Master’s and a Ph.D. degree in Chinese medicine thereafter. She also practiced TCM in Shanghai for many years and participated in initial clinical research using Chinese medicine in conjunction with Western medical treatment to increase the overall success rate for IVF.
Dr. Ming Jin established Ming Qi Natural Healthcare Center in 1991 with offices in both Manhattan and Queens of New York City. One of the specialties of Dr. Ming Jin is the treatment of Infertility using Chinese herbal medicine and acupuncture alone, or in combination with the IVF procedure. Over the past 25 years, she has successfully treated over 760 infertility patients. Dr. Ming Jin has also taught classes and clinical training programs to TCM students and practitioners, and given numerous public speeches in educational series in TV and for public health organizations.
Gynecology is one of the important courses in TCM Clinical Medicine. In Dr. Jin’s course, students will learn not only about the diagnosis and treatment of gynecological diseases, but more importantly, to master the prevention of common gynecological diseases. Students will become familiar with women’s physiological characteristics and pathological changes and understand a variety of factors of gynecological diseases related to male physiology and pathology. Her course focuses on healthcare for pregnant women in addition to fetus growth and development. Women’s healthcare issues — from puberty, menarche, sexual health, proper contraception, pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding and menopause — are addressed in this clinical gynecology course of Chinese medicine. Preventive care of sexually transmitted diseases between couples as well as genetic diseases between mother and child, important features of TCM gynecology, will also be specifically mentioned in the courses.
