Joseph Changqing Yang MD (China), Ph.D.

Dr. Joseph Changqing Yang graduated from Heilongjiang University of Chinese Medicine in 1984 and continued his study in the same university for his Master degree in the field of diagnosis and human constitution in TCM. He also obtained a Ph.D. in psychiatry and neuroscience from Kobe University in Japan. Dr. Yang has practiced Chinese medicine in California since 2002. He also teaches TCM in Emperor College of TOM and YOSA University of TCM.

In Dr. Yang’s course of TCM Mental Healthcare, students identify patients with mental disorders and understand clinical signs and symptoms of major psychological disorders for the diagnosis and treatment applications. The treatment includes the acupuncture, herbal strategy, TCM psycho care, and mental health preservation. Additional topics such as patient-practitioner relations, communication skills, and multicultural sensitivity are also discussed. The clinical cases will be provided in the course with demonstration.
